MANDATORY PASSWORD PROTECTION
The always-on password is the only thing that can give access to the data you store on your secure drive
AUTOMATIC HARDWARE ENCRYPTION
SafeToGo® Solo provides full hardware encryption of all data, featuring a single on-board security chip that can’t be bypassed and encrypts all data with AES-256 bit encryption.
The encryption is totally transparent, and no software installation nor administrative privileges are needed.
In case SafeToGo® Solo is left unattended in a computer, a unique timer will automatically lock it after a customisable number of minutes.
HARDWARE BRUTE-FORCE PROTECTION
Built in password attempt counter and user alert system that tracks faulty unlock attempts.
Unlock SafeToGo® Solo in as little as one second after plugging it in.
Metal casing and a secure lid ensures the drive will survive a busy lifestyle. Shockproof until 15G. Epoxy resin coated chip.
SafeToGo® Solo can be wiped clean and reset to factory settings.
Thanks to its small and robust design, SafeToGo® Solo fits in the narrowest of USB ports, even in the tight compartments of many notebooks.
SafeToGo® Solo has a hardware failure rate of less than 0.1%!
UNIQUE RANDOMLY GENERATED KEY
Encryption keys are randomly generated on-board (using ANSI X9.31 RNG) at user setup, leaving no back door.
What is SafeToGo® Solo?
SafeToGo® Solo is a hardware encrypted removable flash drive that protects your sensitive and confidential data. It has a USB 3.0 connector which means it is really fast and backward compatible with all USB 2.0 devices.
How does the hardware encryption work on SafeToGo® Solo?
SafeToGo® Solo uses a 256-bit AES, 2048-bit RSA hardware module to encrypt the data. There are no unencrypted partitions so a user cannot bypass the encryption - 100% of the data written to the device will be encrypted.
What is the difference between SafeToGo® Solo and other hardware encrypted flash drives?
SafeToGo® Solo does not have a backdoor or master password, it can only be accessed with the user's password.
Do I need additional software to use SafeToGo® Solo?
No, you don’t. SafeToGo® Solo is compatible with Windows. When you connect SafeToGo® to a computer, it automatically starts a zero-footprint GUI so a password can be created. The password is hardware verified on SafeToGo® Solo and cannot be tampered with. If your computer has disabled the autorun facility go to file explorer and double click on the SafeToGo Solo icon.
What is the password strength?
The password needs eight (8) characters with a minimum of upper and lower case, numbers and special characters. This gives 218 trillion combinations.
What if I forget my password?
SafeToGo® Solo allows a maximum of 10 attempts to re-enter your password. If the correct password is not entered on the 10th attempt your drive will be reset and this process will automatically delete the data. Save your password securely!
What does the timer lockdown feature mean?
SafeToGo® Solo can be configured by the user to lockdown after a set period of time in case you leave your PC unattended. This prevents anyone else from getting access to your data.
Is SafeToGo® Solo compatible with Linux ?
SafeToGo® Solo is compatible with Windows 7-10 and Mac on purchases after 25/5/18, if you are using a Linux platform please purchase our other hardware encrypted USB SafeToGo® which is compatible.
My USB doesn’t autorun when I plug it in, why is this and how do I run it?
Your machine may have autorun disabled for security or it may be blocked by antivirus software. Go to file, browser and double click on the SafeToGo® Solo launcher application ( logo) and this will launch the login interface. If the login interface still does not show, your machine may not have an up-to-date Certificate Authority list. This can be downloaded from Microsoft and installed using Windows Update
How can SafeToGo® help you comply with the GDPR?
Using SafeToGo® Solo means the strongest data-on-the-move protection through automatic hardware encryption. So, you can prove to be GDPR compliant (clause 34) that mentions data encryption as one of the ``reasonable`` technical and organizational measures to put in place against the risk of data breach.
